What is Banksman (Traffic Marshall) Training?
Banksmen (also known as Traffic Marshals) play a vital role in managing vehicle movements and preventing accidents involving site plant and vehicles. Many serious incidents on construction sites occur not to the plant operator, but to people working nearby, particularly during reversing operations.
This Banksman Training course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely guide vehicles and plant, control site traffic and maintain safe exclusion zones. The training focuses on clear communication, correct positioning and standard signalling methods to significantly reduce the risk of collisions, crushing injuries and property damage.
The course combines essential theory with practical, hands-on training, ensuring delegates can apply what they learn immediately in real site conditions.
